1. The Back Room – 102 Norfolk St, New York, NY 10002

Past, meet Present. The Back Room is one of only a few NYC speakeasys dating back to the prohibition era that is still in operation. It’s jazzy music selection along with gorgeous interior and plush victorian style furniture will put almost anyone at ease. Drinks are even served in teacups accurate to prohibition tradition–so sip away by the fireplace as you take in the cozy ambiance.

3. Raines Law Room– 48 W 17th, New York, NY 10011

Yet another speakeasy, in which one must ring a door bell before entering its clandestine entrance, Raines Law Room was named after a 1896 New York law on the consumption of liquor. The warm windowless interior, decorated with prohibition wall accents, and cushiony couches and armchairs makes the perfect perch for a cozy evening in.
