*GIVEAWAY* Bella Belle Shoes Pop-up

April 25, 2024 - April 28, 2024

On a cold, wet and rainy afternoon tons of fashion lovers, bloggers, influencers and editors packed in the lobby of Midtown Loft & Terrace, waiting to get upstairs to view Planet Fashion TV‘s NYFW show, featuring four emerging designers that would be debuting their collections. After the hustle and bustle of wet bodies stuffed in a small elevator, I was seated in the second row and was ready for the show!

The show started off with the international brand, The Dress Rehearsal. All the way from India, designers, Apeksha Shah and Tejal Kothari, displayed sheer elegance and tying in conventional Indian influences infused with contemporary urban designs. Including both menswear and womenswear, I enjoyed the diversity in each piece and of course each model! Back to back, the designers came out and I appreciated this show because I didn’t become bored at any point.

The next collection to hit the runway was Lindsay Nicholas. With close attention to details and quality fabric, like the designer Lindsay Nicholas, her pieces oozed professionalism with a dash of creativity. Cause who wants to go to the office with a boring facade?

Next up was Starlife Fashion. The streetwear brand debuted comfy and athletic styled clothing versus the luxurious RTW collections that came before them. Sporty track shorts and jackets, along with a variety of graphic prints is how I would best describe Starlife Fashion’s pieces. Catching the eye of those who were fans of mixed prints.

The final designer was pretty dope, and like the designer before, very different from the other designers. Olmaia Swim Shorts came out and had the crowd blushing, as men sporting short swim trunks came ascended down the runway in vibrant colors and prints. I thought the collection was fun with the use of colors, but also gave us a refreshing taste for the the upcoming season, because all I could think about was being in the Indian Ocean or somewhere in Italy.

The fashion show was a success and the cocktail hour that followed was a great option for those who didn’t want to weather the storm just yet. During that time all the attendees had the opportunity to mix and network with the designers, models and those apart of the production team. A great way to end NYFW- men’s and get ready for the women’s fashion.
