‘@OWNTV and WBLS Previews Tyler Perry’s Spring Shows…the Old and the New!

On January 10th, press and WBLS winners were invited to Event Space, MIST Harlem to preview Tyler Perry’s upcoming shows on The Oprah Winfrey Network.

The new seasons which premiered were Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots,” “If Loving You is Wrong,” and the series premiere of “The Paynes.”

The night began with sneak peeks  from all three shows. Actors from the shows then  joined in on a Q &A session, moderated by WBLS’s very own Shalia Scott. Those in attendance included  Tika Sumpter, Angela Robinson and Tyler Lepley from The Haves and the Have Nots, Jackee Harry, Cassi Davis and LaVan Davis  from The Paynes,  and Eltony Williams and April Parker Jones from “If Loving You is Wrong”. LaVan Davis and Cassi David were very vivacious individuals, and almost like a real life episode of the Paynes. They embodied their characters to the max. The other stars had similar character attributes throughout the Q&A. A reception with food and drank ended out the night.

Some of the questions asked of the cast were a bit comical and also intriguing. What is for certain (without spoilers) is the all-new season of “If Loving You is Wrong” premiered January 11th at 10pm ET/PT. “The Paynes” premiered Tuesday, January 16th at 10pm ET/PT, and “The Haves and the Have Nots” airs Tuesdays at 9pm ET/PT.
