Last Wednesday, we got the chance to celebrate National Cognac Day a little early with Rémy Martin, and their Brand Ambassador Marc Forgione at his namesake restaurant in Tribeca. National Cognac Day falls on the June 4th, but it’s never too early to celebrate a great cocktail! It was more than a celebration of this prized liquor, but also a celebration for the Rémy Martin Circle Of Centaurs Winner Jermaine Wright.

The Circle of Centaurs is a society of diversified experts in their fields, who act as mentors, sharing their experiences, how they got where they are, and how you can hone in on your own talents. You can hear these words of insight though various video sessions as seen here from Marc.

Marc Forgione is the current Rémy Martin Circle of Centaurs Mentor. He’s not only a chef, but also a Musician (he plays the guitar!) and Entrepreneur. Fellow mentor has included Actor, Singer and Photographer Jackie Cruz. As you can see the mentors are skilled in more than one art.

As the for the main event, Emma Medina, Rémy’s Vice President of Marketing opened up the night with Marc and Circle of Centaurs Winner Jermaine Wright.

The space was abundant with sidecar cocktails using the Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, where I can’t not think of Fetty Wap while muttering “1738” under my breath. The sidecar is traditionally made with cognac, orange liqueur, and lemon juice. Twists on the classic was also served including Dusk To Dawn (1738, falernum, lemon juice, pineapple juice and orange liquor), The Outfit (1738, apple cider vinegar, orange liquor and absinthe) and #ThatswhatIlike (1738, orange and peach liquor, lemon juice and demerara syrup).

Naturally it made sense to nosh on some delicious eats alongside your cocktail, dishes created by Marc included beef sliders, steak on toast, chili lobster skewers, spoons topped with hiramsa, and others. We also got the try Jermaine’s winning jerked stewed pork dish.

DJ Kitty Cash kept the night bumping with her always awesome DJ set, donning a black silk robe and blinged out eyeglass frames. Bosco (love them!) also had their GIF photobooth for those sip worthy moments.

The celebs and influencers were not short in sight. Guests included Supermodel Shanina Shaik, Actor Joseph Sikora aka Tommy from Power, Fashion Designer Carlos Campos, DJ and Director Vashtie, Artist Shantell Martin and Singer Eyme Santos.

Also models Rudy Dean Ackers, Tommy Hackett, Weston Sarame, Jacob Burton and influencers Luke Ditella, Ian Elkins, Chris Burt-Allen, Eric Christian, and Carlos Battle.

The Rémy team also mingled amongst the crowd, such as Chief Marketing Officer Sarah Long, Vice President of Marketing Emma Medina, Brand Director Ben Collier, Senior Brand Manager Naeemah Leonard, Brand Manager Ashley Davidovitch and others.

Earlier in the day that Tuesday, you might’ve also been able to get a glimpse of the pre-celebration, as a brigade of influencers beamed around the city in Rémy sidecars.
