In celebration of the Downtown Design Festival the Seaport District will host an opening night event on the cobblestone pavements of historic Fulton Street. Open and free to the public, the event will feature music, live entertainment as well as food and spirits available for purchase.
The Downtown Design Festival is a 14-day series of events and activations in the Seaport District from May 3 – May 17, including Downtown Dialogues speaker series and Parsons School of Design installation, celebrates the extraordinary explosion in design and creative energy in lower Manhattan over the past decade.
The Downtown Design Festival is presented by The Howard Hughes Corporation In association with the Downtown Alliance. As the Seaport District prepares for the opening of the Fulton Market Building later this year and Pier 17 in 2017, the Howard Hughes Corporation is committed to bringing culture, fashion and culinary delights to the re-envisioned Seaport District.
