Fall for local oysters at our next Billion Oyster Social at Zadie’s Oyster Room! There’s a strong case for eating oysters in the fall.

Once the waters are cooler, oysters get more juicy and flavorful in preperation for the winter months. Join us to celebrate the beginning of the cold water oyster season at Zadie’s Oyster Room, with local Long Island oysters. During this intimate tasting, guests will enjoy a half-dozen ‘Maris Stella’ Blue Point oysters, prepared in a variety of ways ideal for the chillier weather by Chef Mike Campanile, with additional lite bites and beverage pairings.

During the event, meet with and learn from Maris Stella oyster farmer and special guest Sixto Portilla. Dotted throughout the evening will be discussions on the oyster pairings from Chef Mike, oyster farming in the Great South Bay, the oyster’s historic and ecological role in New York City, and an overview of Billion Oyster Project’s recent work and how to get involved.
