Queens County Fair 2023

Help Queens County Farm Museum celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Queens County Fair! Enjoy pie-eating and corn-husking contests, hayrides, carnival rides, and midway games.

Visit the main stage and family entertainment tents featuring an array of live music and theatrical performances, check out local craft and food vendors, and get recycling tips at the Con Edison Ecology booth.

This traditional agricultural fair boasts Blue Ribbon competitions in produce, arts & crafts, and more. Plus, it’s the inaugural weekend of the all-new 2023 Amazing Maize Maze — be the first to navigate your way through the cornfield to Victory Bridge!

Highlights

NEW! Opening Ceremony & Motown Concert
Friday, September 8, 2023 • 6pm–9pm
It’s a party! Join us for an Opening Ceremony & Motown Concert to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Queens County Fair, featuring DJ Malik Work, Dr. K’s Motown Revue, special guests, food vendors, and a signature cocktail offering from East Coast Street Tacos to kick off the fall season.

Amazing Maize Maze
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Be the first to navigate this fall’s Amazing Maze Maze, the only corn maze in NYC, measuring in at a whopping three acres (that’s three football fields!) before culminating in Victory Bridge. Admission to the Maze is included in the Queens County Fair ticket price.

Carnival Rides & Midway Games
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Go for a spin on an assortment of Carnival Rides and vie for a prize at Midway Games presented by Newton Shows.* Ride list and height requirements will be posted here when available.

Local Food and Drink
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Queens County Fair will feature a unique variety of local food and drink vendors, and for the first time ever, we’ll be welcoming New York State producers at the Taste NY Pavilion. To learn more about food options, click the link below.

Main Stage

Enjoy live music and entertainment at the main stage. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie!

Family Entertainment Tent

Enjoy a variety of family fun, from jugglers and acrobats to interactive dance workshops and improv storytelling.

Roaming Acts
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Shinbone Alley Stilt Band will join in the fun with their sky-high dynamic brass combo, greeting guests with an energetic repertoire. Find Harold the Unicycle Clown roaming the grounds — on wheel (singular!) and on foot, to the delight of fairgoers of all ages.

Think you’ve got what it takes for County Fair glory? Try your hand at corn-husking competitions, pie-eating contests, the infamous rubber chicken toss, egg-on-a-spoon races, and sack relays.

Blue Ribbon Competition
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Browse hundreds of Blue Ribbon Competition entries on display across six divisions: Arts & Crafts, Culinary Arts, Vegetables, Apiculture, Flower Arranging, and Horticulture. NEW! All categories are now open to Adult and Youth entries.

Adriance Farmhouse
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Visit the Colonial Lab at the Adriance Farmhouse herb garden for apple pressing demonstrations, weaving demos, and quill writing. Venture inside the historic house, built in 1772, for tours and colonial cooking demonstrations.

NEW! Arts Parlor
Sat – Sun, September 9-10, 2023 • 11am–6pm
Enjoy a dose of creativity at the County Fair! Pose for a one-of-a-kind keepsake caricature by Steve Nyman, get colorful with face painting, and enter the Growing Artists Challenge, where kids ages 5-12 can draw their favorite farm animals for an exciting chance to be featured in future Queens County Farm Museum maps and signage.

Handmade Marketplace

Shop a unique selection of local artisan-made products from small businesses.

Farm Animals

Queens County Farm Museum is home to goats, sheep, alpacas, steers, pigs, hens, and honeybees. Explore the grounds to meet and greet the farm animals.

Farm Store

Stock up on local gifts and new merch — think sweatshirts, totes, and commemorative tees — wool yarn from our sheep, honey from the apiary, and our must-have corn pens at the Farm Store and retail outposts, and visit our Farmstand for farm-fresh produce.
