Dating back to my late teens when I made my first Black Halo purchase, the designer has always been my go-to, no matter the occasion, when searching for the perfectly tailored, stylish power dress, and I can attest that I have yet to ever be let down by the results.
As such, it was my pleasure to help celebrate Black Halo’s Jackie O Anniversary Collection Launch Party last Wednesday, February 22nd at Spring Place.
The signature Jackie O Dress line is on its 10th year running, a good enough reason as any to raise glasses to a decade of style!
The Jackie O Dress was first introduced into the wardrobes of contemporary women and celebrities in Fall 2006. Black Halo designer Laurel Berman, claims that the origin behind the Jackie O was inspired by her search for a solution to flawlessly execute the high waisted pencil skirt with tucked in camisole blouse look, creating the flattering illusion of both length and slimming the waist region when worn. The result of translating this two piece look into 1 sleek and sophisticated dress was an instant fashion statement that has yet to be trumped.
Like Jackie O herself, an icon of timelessness, power and sophistication, the line of in demand dresses is representative of classic style throughout each season and its evolving prototypes created since its first debut, such as the 3/4 sleeve Jackie O Dress, the Jackie Jumpsuit, the Jackie O Mini, the Jackie O Gown, and the Jackie O Romper.
The limited edition Jackie O Anniversary Collection offers dresses and jumpsuits in shades of white and cream with a wide variety of textures and fabrics from mesh to sequence giving detail and flair to the classic looks. The collection was on display at Spring Place, allowing attendees to enjoy the designs as they posed for pictures between the mannequins and enjoyed the hors d’oeuvres and open bar.
