Arts Gowanus Open Studios 2023

Gowanus Open Studios returns better than ever for its 27th year! Hosted by Arts Gowanus, Gowanus Open Studios is Brooklyn’s biggest celebration of local art and artists. More than 350 artists and 70+ venues in the greater Gowanus neighborhood will open their doors, giving the public a rare glimpse inside the former factories, warehouses, and studio buildings of this vibrant neighborhood. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work, share their processes, and showcase their latest projects. Partner businesses in the neighborhood will be offering discounts.

Gowanus Open Studios features venues and studios from Pacific St. to 19th St. and from Smith St. to 5th Ave. More than 8,000 printed maps will be distributed across the neighborhood to help visitors navigate the various locations. A digital map will also be available on artsgowanus.org.

Highlights include:

• GOS kick-off party at Gowanus venue Gemini & Scorpio on Friday, October 20th with a brass band parade and party!
• Take a tour of Arts Gowanus’ seven murals created by artists in our community!
• Support Gowanus Mutual Aid’s MetroCard drive
• Free access to hundreds of private studios and venues filled with local art
• Group shows by Sola Market, Fulton Art Fair Inc., Why Not Art?, and Gallery Particulier
• Goldmine vendor market at Gemini+Scorpio Loft
• A series of artist-curated lists of Self-Guided Tours
• Amazing local sponsors and businesses to explore in the neighborhood
• Closing party at the Gowanus Dredgers on Sunday evening with opera performances and a few suprises
