Brooklyn Book Festival 2022

The Brooklyn Book Festival is New York City’s largest free literary festival and connects readers with local, national, and international authors and publishers during the course of a celebratory literary week.

This year’s main Festival Day and Literary Marketplace (Oct. 2nd) returns to parks, plazas, and venues surrounding Brooklyn Borough Hall with more than 50 programs and events throughout the day. Plus, our Virtual Festival Day (Sept. 25th) welcomes authors and audiences from around the world to listen in on compelling author conversations. Children’s Day (Oct. 1st) celebrates childhood reading with workshops, performances, readings, and more. Throughout the Festival week, literary-themed Bookend events (Sept. 25th – Oct. 3rd) bring poetry, film, performances, and more to all five boroughs.
