Bushwick Film Festival 2021

This year the festival presents a hybrid rendition returning to live screenings and special events alongside virtual screenings and panels. The newest addition to the festival includes screenplays and NFT videos.

The festival will begin with an opening night reception at Lot45 in Bushwick. The night will celebrate the over 130 independent filmmakers from Brooklyn and cities around the world, featuring live music and special guests. While films will be available to watch online throughout the 5-day festival, a full day of in-person screenings will take place on October 23 through a partnership with Regal Cinemas in downtown Brooklyn.

Other live events include a full day of happy hour and networking at Circa Brewing Co. which is walking distance from Regal Cinemas. On October 24, audiences and industry can tune into their Movie Industry Conference. Also, throughout the 5-day weekend audiences can enter the metaverse to experience our NFT showcase which includes a curated collection of short films and panels tackling the latest in blockchain trends.

The theme this year is Dimensions and their unique hybrid structure gives us the opportunity to engage with audiences multidimensionally including in person, online and in the metaverse. Additionally, this year’s record number of films highlight a wide scope of the multidimensional and complex human experience.
