Bushwick Film Festival 2023

The Bushwick Film Festival festival has grown into one of the most anticipated cinematic events in New York located in one of the trendiest neighborhoods, featuring over 125+ out of the 1000+ independent films submitted stemming from Brooklyn to around the world.

Inspired by the notion of the “Sweet Sixteen,” a time of personal growth, self-discovery, and newfound independence, this year’s festival theme revolves around exploring and embracing our passage into life’s next chapter, through cinema. The selected films will embody these narratives, offering stories of transformation, the pursuit of identity, and the leap into a new stage of life.
