Dear Summer Vibes is a festival including live music, The Black Creatives & Culture Market, kid zone, yoga, games, jam session, and an interactive art exhibition for all ages. This special end-of-summer and back-to-school celebration is Brooklyn 80’s theme with a goal to create a relaxing and fun weekend while bringing awareness to local creatives and a collaborative atmosphere.

Dear Summer Vibes Art Show
Enjoy the vibrant creative work of local artists’ featuring various textures, styles, and mediums. 12-8pm
● Artists include Sammy Deigh, Aleijuan, Tony P, C.A.N.V.A.S, Afrocentric Keyy, Mr. John Wright, The Creative Era, TH. Carlton, Snavien, Face, and Ponzi.

● Enjoy the sweet island sounds of the iron drum skillfully played to summer’s delight.

Chill Zone
Physical Wellness- A mindfulness movement dance class connecting the mind and body. Trap Yoga – Instructor: Dreamcast McFly 12:15 – 1pm
● Bring your yoga mats and good vibes while we stretch on the plaza to the best trap beats.

Soka Tribe Wuk and Whine Dance
● 1:15pm – Wukk & Wine (20 minutes)
● 2:30pm – Walk and Wave (20 minutes)
Soka Tribe is a community of people who love Carnival culture and the music of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora. Generating expressive and emotive carnival-like experiences, the Tribe enables people to let go of their inhibition, move freely, and motivate others to join a movement for a cause.

Kidz Zone

● Circus Performer – Jean Taee – 5-minute juggling act and 60-minute walk around (2 sets)
● Face painting booth (by CAMP)

Art Walk
Fashion Entrepreneurs in the Making – Create Your Bag with TH Carlton (1-3pm)
● Kids will enjoy creating their own bags using fabric and colors

Live Art Painting
3-5pm
● Guests will enjoy the visuals in the making as 2 local artists create masterpieces with a Dear Summer Vibes theme. Featuring Afrocentric Keyy, The Creative Era and PONZI

PLAY STATION:
Be Well Experience
4-5pm
● A live game show connecting the community participants through laughter, entertainment, and culture.
● Large Table games and floor games (Jenga, Connect four, cards)
● Double Dutch

DEAR SUMMER STAGE: JAM SESSION
3-7pm
Music Curated by the Organic Jam Session & FYID NYC
● Spoken Word – 4pm A special performance by 14-year-old KJ, who will perform his first poem called The Beauty And The Beast In Me. This poem focuses on accepting yourself and creating your own destiny despite the hand that life has dealt you.
● Organic Jam Session will produce an interactive jam with live instruments, entertainers, and a host. Lead Singers will perform between the jam sessions with a live band backing them. Lead Singers will perform 80s songs. Local musicians are invited to join in!

Kendra J. Ross of STooPS BEDSTUY
● 7:30pm – Kendra will lead a 30 minute Line Dance class to close out Dear Summer Vibes
