Depop Collaborators: Makayla Wray ‘All by Yourself’ Pop-up

A designer and environmentalist, Makayla Wray built Pedal to push the boundaries of how we’re taught to create. Converting a peanut stand into a mobile sewing service, she alters garments and educates her community in the Lower East Side, New York about overconsumption – encouraging respect for those who craft and repair our clothing.

Continuing the Depop Collaborators, Makayla’s installation and workshop gives you the opportunity to learn how to alter, repair and create pieces – showcasing the sewing techniques that reduce consumption.

In addition to producing the pop-up, a limited collection of pieces designed by Makayla will also be available exclusively on her Depop shop.
