Summer is basically here, and Depop is kicking off the season with a series of events in NYC occurring throughout June to celebrate a “summer of second hand!”

Depop will be visible on every corner in NYC throughout the month with custom OOH (billboards, street and subway takeovers) alongside hosting fun IRL events, including a collaboration with the Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturday, a full-blown, immersive block party open to the public, and a shopping event co-hosted with Cosmopolitan. NYC embodies everything Depop stands for – community, individuality, and love for fashion – and they can’t wait to celebrate the vibrant spirit NYC brings to the fashion community.

Depop x Brooklyn Museum (6/7, 5-10pm): Depop will kick off its month-long takeover in collaboration with the Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturday program, an iconic after-hours event that draws thousands of visitors each month. As the sole sponsor of the event, Depop will feature three standout sellers—@andvintageee, @Shopjuliananyc, and @Zemistar—who will showcase curated menswear, womenswear, kidswear, accessories, and more. Attendees can shop, enjoy live performances, and capture their own moment at the custom photo station. Depop x Brooklyn Stroll Club (6/7, 11am-1pm): Teaming up with Brooklyn Stroll Club for a pre-Father’s Day celebration at Rivian in Williamsburg that puts sustainable family style center stage. This morning event will feature a playful clothes swap station where families will discover how secondhand shopping creates unique style moments that grow with their children. The exclusive gathering will showcase Brooklyn’s coolest dads and their little style icons reimagining kidswear through the lens of circular fashion. RSVP Here!

NYC Block Party (6/14, 1-7pm): Depop is bringing the ultimate celebration to the streets, combining fashion, music, food, and community with an open-to-the-public Block Party! With NYC-based Depop sellers, local DJs spinning all day, iconic food trucks serving up the goods, and hands-on interactive moments, this one-day event will transform the city’s streets to celebrate sustainable style. Depop x Cosmopolitan Closet (Nationwide shop drop 6/17; IRL event 6/21, 12-6pm):
Depop is partnering with Cosmopolitan to put a spotlight on NYC style. Launching June 17, Cosmopolitan Closet will feature exclusive in-app shop drops curated by Cosmo editors, offering a mix of items from their fashion closet, select pieces from Depop sellers, and exclusive Cosmo merch. The partnership will also include an IRL shopping event on June 21 in SoHo, hosted by Cosmopolitan Editor-In-Chief Willa Bennett, where guests can not only shop amazing vintage and second-hand finds, but engage in creative experiences including food, crafts, photo moments, and more.
