FIAF’s popular Bastille Day celebration is back in person, happening for the first time on New York’s famed Madison Avenue!
Abounding with French cuisine, musique, dance, and myriad attractions for the whole family, this fête populaire invites New Yorkers to revel in the flavors, sounds, and joie de vivre of France.
For over 20 years, FIAF has hosted the city’s largest celebration of France’s national holiday, Bastille Day on 60th Street. This year’s event will expand to Madison Avenue and include live music and dance performances, wine and champagne tastings, a sneak preview screening of Azuro, fun activities in French for kids and adults, a chance to win a dream getaway to France’s Occitanie region and other exciting prizes, and more than 40 booths showcasing the best of French food and Francophone culture.

Champagne & Musette Party

Wear your festive best and celebrate Bastille Day in style at the Champagne & Musette party in the FIAF Skyroom! Chloé Perrier & the French Heart Jazz band take us back to old Paris for “un air de musette” in the spirit of Edith Piaf, Josephine Baker, Charles Trenet and more. It’s the perfect lively accompaniment to a selection of premier Champagnes, delicious macarons from Thierry Atlan, and savory hors d’oeuvres from Miss Madeleine!
Summer in the South of France Tasting

FIAF Tinker Auditorium, 22 East 60th Street, NYC
Renowned for their fantastic wines, discover the flavors of France’s Occitanie region at this festive tasting inside FIAF. Featuring wines from Maison Antech, Château Maris, and Château Haut-Blanville, non-alcoholic wines from Le Petit Béret, zesty gazpacho from Karine & Jeff and wonderful cheese selections from cheese2u.com.
Live Performances

Exciting live performances on the Bastille Day Main Stage, down the street from FIAF’s Florence Gould Hall, include roots/blues singer Paul Beaubrun and his band, a flex style dance performance by Cal Hunt with street dancers, a dance party with DJ Orson, and a special preview excerpt from the hit French musical Notre Dame de Paris a week before it makes its debut at Lincoln Center.
Fun Activities in French

FIAF Language Center Booth, On Madison Avenue, between 59th and 60th Street, NYC
Instructors from FIAF’s Language Center will lead this year’s selection of fun activities in French. Children enjoy a Tour de France-themed arts and crafts corner including coloring and crafting paper bicycles. Adults are invited to participate in a lively French trivia contest to win prizes.
Sneak Preview Screening: Azuro

In this exclusive preview screening of Matthieu Rozé’s Azuro, starring Valérie Donzelli, a group of close friends are enjoying their annual summer vacation on the Mediterranean’s Blue Coast, just south-west of Marseille. Everything has the familiar feeling of past summers until an unexpected, seductive stranger arrives. The friend’s boring daily routines suddenly become more adventurous, challenging the group dynamics.

More than 40 top purveyors of French food, beauty, fashion, culture, and travel will be featured at this year’s Bastille Day fête including Brasserie Cognac, Maman Bakery, Mille-feuille Bakery Cafe, Hanami Designs, Barachou, Thermomix, Miss Madeleine, and many more!
