Jake Cohen, chef and author of the delightful new cookbook Jew-ish: Reinvented Recipes from a Modern Mensch, joins us just in time to make this year’s High Holidays even sweeter for you — at the table and beyond.
He’ll demonstrate a go-to recipe for his own family gatherings, and a riff on one passed down to him, Apples and Honey-Baked Brie. Along with showing you how to prepare it, Jake will talk about this year’s High Holidays and their added emphasis on family and togetherness. Rabbi Samantha Frank will join the conversation, with additional reflections on Jewish life. Together, they’ll talk about blending ancient traditions with modern times, and the tremendous value in gathering around the table to share food, to connect, and to create new memories with those we love.
