Illumination NYC, New York’s premier light art festival, returns this September for three unforgettable nights of immersive installations, projection mapping, performances, food, drinks, and community celebration—all free and open to the public. This year, the festival takes place at the grand reopening of Wagner Park, a stunningly renovated waterfront gem in Lower Manhattan that will glow like never before.

What You’ll Experience:

🌌 20+ Large-Scale Light Installations – Step into immersive works by groundbreaking light artists from NYC and around the globe.
🎥 Dazzling Projection Mapping – Watch the park’s new architecture transform into a living canvas of color and movement.
🎶 Unforgettable DJs & Performances – Dance beneath the stars with beats and performances that will keep the energy alive all night.
🍔 Food Trucks! – Savor bites from some of NYC’s favorite food trucks (for purchase).
💫 Interactive Experiences – Touch, play, and explore installations designed to bring you into the art itself.
👗 Dress the Part – We encourage everyone to put on their most creative light-inspired outfit—from glow accessories to neon looks—and become part of the spectacle.
🎧 Silent Disco – On Saturday night only, groove with Quiet Events as three live DJs light up the park through wireless headsets.
🪄 Stop by Their Light Shop – Visit the Light Shop to snag glowing merch and find your unique light.
