With summer in full swing, Prospect Park Alliance is kicking off a new chapter at one of its most popular destinations, the Samuel J. and Ethel LeFrak Center at Lakeside. Following renovations and with new operators in place, the Center will reopen for rollerskating, boating and–for the first time–pickleball.

RSVP for activities below! First-come, first-served basis. Limited number of spots fo walk-ins.

Plus, visit the center’s Duck Island Cafe during opening weekend for a free Hibiscus Brew with every purchase, 2-for-1 Hibiscus Spritz, and free mini croissants for the first 150 visitors.

• Saturday, August 2nd

11am-12pm: Floorball with New York Rangers Alumni, Ages 5-15, Free Spots are limited. Register today!

Learn to play Floorball: just like hockey, but without the skates! Learn to play alongside former New York Ranger, Cristoval “Boo” Nieves.

11am-7pm: Summer Fun on the Water, Ages 18+, $5 Off, Prices Vary by Boat, 1-Hour Boat Rentals, Book today – discount applied automatically!

Enjoy row boating or kayaking on Brooklyn’s only Lake! Rent a rowboat or a kayak for up to two people at a time. Walk up boating reservations will also be available.

12-4pm: Roller Skating – Free Rink Admission + $10 Skate Rentals, Spots are limited. Register today!

Let the good times roll with roller skating fun for all ages. Please note there are a limited number of walk-up roller admission spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yoga joins the body and mind for physical and mental health benefits that help you connect with the world around you. Try yoga alongside an instructor to learn basic practices, postures, breathing techniques and more.

7-10pm: Family Disco Night – $10 Admission, $10 Skate Rentals, Spots are limited. Register today!

Bring your family and friends for a groovy night of roller disco fun! Enjoy a night of skating, music, colorful lights, and a lively atmosphere. Enjoy music from DJMoony Dee, the hottest skate jam/skate party DJ, and all kids 13 and under even get a free glow in the dark necklace!
