Los Sabores de Mi México Pop-up Exhibition

Jarritos, a Mexican soft drink brand, and the family of Frida Kahlo proudly present the first edition of “Los Sabores de mi México” (The Flavors of My Mexico) – a cultural experience and exhibition that will take visitors on an artistic journey in New York City’s must-visit Grand Central Terminal.

Los Sabores de mi México is inspired by the culinary art of Mexican culture and shares aspects of its story through the lens of renowned artist Frida Kahlo (1907-1954). An immersive world where gastronomy meets art, attendees will first be greeted with a replica of the façade of the Kahlo Family home and kitchen then explore previously unpublished photographs that capture their intimate essence, as well as the personal and artistic life of the Mexican icon through unique images. The event also serves to celebrate the launch of an exclusive book revealing family recipes.

Los Sabores de mi México also includes:

• 10 monumental Frida Kahlo artworks interpreted by talented contemporary Mexican artists, paying homage to her enduring influence on the art world and her legacy in a striking and original way.
• A “Paint Your Frida” interactive and educational workshop offering visitors an opportunity to express their creativity by painting miniature replicas of the monumental sculptures on display.
• Talks led by the descendants of Frida Kahlo, notably a discussion of family recipes included in the book that promises to be a culinary and cultural treasure, delighting both cooking enthusiasts and fans of the great artist and of the flavors of Mexico.
