MoMA PS1’s signature summer music series, Warm Up 2024 program is anchored by an array of scenes active across New York City’s independently organized club and nightlife venues, brought together with musicians from Detroit, São Paulo, Miami, Los Angeles, London, and more. Each evening features DJ sets and live performances that crescendo from sonic experimentation to dancefloor breakbeats.
This year’s lineup includes artists such as Detroit techno pioneer Terrence Dixon; queer nightlife icon KIM AHN; Paris-based soul-crushing electronica producer Emma dj; Atlanta-based founder of Underground & Black Ash Lauryn; avant-garde ensemble Tongue in the Mind, a collaboration between artists Juliana Huxtable, Jealous Orgasm, and Via App; co-founder of the São Paulo collective and record label Mamba Negra Cashu; rising Miami-based trance musicians SoFTT; Hyperdub label founder Kode9; and Jersey club luminary UNIIQU3.
Along with the music, there will be specialty cocktails, the best in street eats provided by the Street Vendor Project, and their galleries will be open late. Warm Up 2024 takes place in the MoMA PS1 courtyard with a newly commissioned stage design by artist Stewart Uoo, who previously exhibited in Greater New York.
