MONOPOLY: Queens Edition Celebration

Mr. Monopoly, Queens’ premier business and nonprofit leaders, along with representatives from Top Trumps USA will celebrate the official release of Queens’ own version of the world’s most popular family board game — for sale both locally and nationally starting October 5, 2024.

This edition replaces the perennial board game spaces (from ‘Boardwalk’ to ‘Park Place’) with Queens’ own landmarks, organizations, and businesses. It features customized Community Chest and Chance playing cards to ensure the board is a historic and enduring tribute to one of the most popular destinations in the eastern U.S.

A ceremony debuting MONOPOLY: Queens Edition will include guest speakers Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., Tim Barney, game manager at Top Trumps USA, Kelly Cefai, senior manager at Queens Center, Steven Raga, New York State assemblymember for District 30, and Shekar Krishnan, NYC council member for District 25.

Festivities to follow include:

• A 30-minute Monopoly Trivia Game, including prizes and giveaways
• An hour-long MONOPOLY jail-themed magic act
• A photo booth with MONOPOLY game props on-site
• Light refreshments and snacks catered by Applebee’s and Burmese Bites
