The New York Public Library’s latest exhibition, Niyū Yūrk: Middle Eastern and North African Lives in the City, celebrates and explores the often overlooked histories of Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) immigration to New York. Drawing on the Library’s vast collections—including local newspapers, rare books, photographs, music recordings, and film—the exhibition highlights how these voices have been preserved and presented.
