Sail Grand Prix

Kick off the first official weekend of summer by cheering on the U.S. SailGP Team as they battle nine other countries against the backdrop of the world’s most iconic skyline.

New York City is SailGP’s 12th stop on a 13-event global sail racing championship and delivers entertainment and fast boats, great action, and exciting competition! Come for the party, stay for the racing – no sailing experience is required to enjoy a great weekend on Governors Island.

Sailing’s best athletes will compete on identical 50-foot flying catamarans, flying over New York Harbor at 60+ mph right in front of the SailGP Race Stadium. Before and after racing, fans can enjoy food and drinks, live music, and more [musical act to be announced].

Waterfront Reserve
Be front and center to watch the F50 fleet fly by at breathtaking speeds along Governors Island. Enjoy exclusive waterfront seats in the middle of the action and access to SailGP’s official Race Stadium with big screens, live race commentary, food & beverage, and afternoon entertainment.

Team Base Tour
SailGP’s version of NASCAR’s pit row. Go behind the scenes for an exclusive 30 minute tour of SailGP’s technical area and team’s ‘pit lane garages,’ where the elite athletes and shore teams prepare the league’s cutting-edge, hydrofoiling F50s for battle in New York Harbor.

• Exclusive 30-minute guided tour of SailGP’s team bases.

Bring Your Own Boat
Watch the high-speed action on the water from your own boat! Boaters can purchase a flag to secure a premium viewing position inside the exclusion zone, giving you the best vantage point to watch all the action. Vessels must be under 80 feet to be eligible for the BYOB program and cannot be used for commercial purposes.

• Souvenir flag to fly.
• Live race commentary over radio.
• They’ll offset your carbon footprint for each race day.

Adrenaline Yachts
Adrenaline Yachts welcomes superyachts to New York, offering preferential viewing inside the public exclusion zone to witness the most exciting racing on water.

Adrenaline Yachts vessels are required to be 80 feet and above. Limited charter or own-boat options available for corporate or private use.
