Spring Uncorked at NYBG

During Spring Uncorked weekend at The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), visitors can savor New
York State wines; learn about the science behind wine-making; get a spring preview of the NYBG
Farmers Market; enjoy live music, arts and crafts, lawn games, and more.

Activities:
Wine Tasting
12–4 pm; Garden Way
Visitors can purchase a souvenir NYBG wine tumbler and sample the latest vintages offered by
more than a dozen wineries from the Hudson Valley, Brooklyn, and Long Island. Bottles will be
available for sale.

The Science Behind Wine with City Winery
1 & 3 pm; Garden Way
A vinter from New York’s City Winery, a restaurant and performance space with a fully functioning
winery will give visitors a brief introduction to wine, from vine to glass, including the botany of wine
and how each type develops distinct characteristics depending on soil, climate, and grape variety.

NYBG Farmers Market Preview
11am-5pm; Mosholu Entrance
Vendors from the NYBG Farmers Market will have freshly baked treats and a variety of other
goods available for purchase, including wine-friendly fare such as cheese and chocolate. The
NYBG Farmers Market opens for the season Wednesday, June 1st.

Live Music
Weekend; 12-4pm; Third Lawn
As you sip your samples, relax and unwind to the original sounds of some of the newest artists on the scene. Our line-up will feature a diverse group of up-and-coming NYC-area singers and songwriters.

Crafts and Games
Channel your creativity with crafts and try your hand at a variety of lawn games!

Hours: 12-4pm, daily
