The Athletic ‘The Beast’ Pop-up at Scarr’s Pizza

The Athletic is bringing The Beast – the most comprehensive guide to the draft used by NFL insiders and fans alike – to Scarr’s Pizza to help New York City football fans get smart on their team’s picks.

With more than 400 in-depth player profiles created by The Athletic’s NFL Expert Dane Brugler, The Beast includes background information, scouting analysis, and NFL-verified testing data for 3,000+ prospects.

New Yorkers can come to Scarr’s to gain access to local team insights from the 500-page book that is The Beast, like how a wingspan of 88″ might help protect New York’s new QB. In fact, 88” is the same size as five Scarr’s pizzas… While chowing down on their favorite meal, fans can read up on prospects via print copies of The Beast and glean a better understanding of the upcoming season.

The Athletic will not only offer diners access to The Beast, but also free merchandise and the opportunity to see how they measure up to draft prospects – with a surprise special treat for those who can meet or beat the stats of the upcoming NFL class.

• Diners at Scarr’s Pizza will get free merchandise from The Athletic and access to print copies of “The Beast,” The Athletic’s in-depth NFL Draft guide.
• On 4/22, The Beast will be given away to the first five people to place delivery orders via Uber Eats.
• On 4/22 and 4/23, in-store, anyone who matches or exceeds the 88” wingspan will get a free Scarr’s pie. Similarly, anyone who orders five pies will get their meal paid for.
• Attendees will be able to meet or beat the stats throughout the restaurant, with interactive measurements and insights embedded throughout Scarr’s.
• Football fans can also catch a unique Beast-themed muscle car driving around the Lower East Side, where they can grab a physical copy if they can’t get to Scarr’s.
