The Black Creatives + Culture Market

DA SPOT NYC, Mastercard & City Point are excited to announce the Black Creatives + Culture Market: Juneteenth Edition. The free two-day festival will highlight Black excellence, spotlight local creativity, and celebrate community. It will include cultural conversations, musical performances, an art show, and marketplace with over 40 BIPOC brands.

Programming:

DA MARKET I JUNE 19 & 20: 12-7PM. The Black Creatives and Culture Market presented by Mastercard will feature 40 BIPOC brands offering a range of designs and products in the fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle categories. The roster of emerging Black-owned businesses includes Aech n Babu, Brooklyn Empire, ANAJAE, Adorned by V, Pocket Kings BK, Breukelen Rub, The Salty Heifer Co, and more.

THE GOLD CARPET LIVE! I JUNE 19: 12-4PM. Manifeast, a platform for empowering BIPOC professionals with resources to manifest opportunities and goals, will host the Gold Carpet, which will spotlight BIPOC speakers, artists, and designers who are realizing their goals. Kim Richards, Valentina Hannon, Krystle Sylvester of Manifeast and host Sirena Marie will grant participating creatives 60 seconds to give their best elevator pitch for a chance to win a $500 cash prize.

DA MAIN STAGE: CONNECTING THE CULTURE I JUNE 19: 2-3PM. Randy Braz, CEO, Black Phoenix Management Group, Ofu Ezeugwu, CEO Who’s Your Landlord?, Jamila McGill, Co-Owner Brooklyn Tea, and other guest panelists share their insights, advice, and resources for small businesses and budding entrepreneurs.

DA MAIN STAGE: I SEE YOU I JUNE 19: 3-4PM. An immersive workshop where participants will be led by Nadine Gurley of Let’s Converse, a company that creates spaces for community building. A licensed Clinical Social Worker, Nadine will lead a fun interactive workshop, including guided meditations, affirmations, and conversations.

DA ARTIST LOUNGE “WE CALL IT BLACK JOY” I JUNE 19: 4-7PM. Vibrant art show featuring 12 BIPOC artists representing a range of disciplines: Wayne Diggs, Emmanuel Agbeble, Danie Herald, C.A.N.V.A.S, Afrocentric Keyy, Mr. John Wright, Akeem Grant, TH Carlton, and Nandy Castillo.

DA MUSIC STAGES I JUNE 19 & 20: 4-7PM. Stages on Albee Square and in City Point will feature DJ’s Ikonik One, DJ D-Official, DJ Dope Man, and DJ Lolo Too Much. Plus, live music.
