The Emirates FA Cup NYC Takeover + Watch Parties

The Emirates FA Cup, football’s original knockout competition, is poised to make history once again as it embarks on a trophy tour to the United States. The NYC Takeover kicked off on February 21st week ahead of the competition’s fifth round proper ties which take place across February 26th and 28th.

Throughout its week-long tour, the trophy will be showcased at various events and locations, presented to some iconic teams, athletes, and celebrities, and offer fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness history up close and personal.

Follow along on the Emirates FA Cup Instagram page for exclusive behind-the-scenes content, fan surprises, photoshoots at the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty, collaborations with the NHL and NY Knicks, and a dedicated look at US football fashion.

And the trip culminates with two special Emirates FA Cup fifth-round watch parties on the 27th and 28th for over 300 people with seven ties taking place across the two days. Also joining forces with the Emirates FA Cup on this momentous tour are former USA internationals Tyler Adams, DeMarcus Beasley, and Tim Howard.

The FA, ESPN+, and Emirates invite you to join them in celebrating one of the oldest and most prestigious soccer competitions in the world. 

The history, format, upsets, prestige and so much more make the magic of the FA Cup so special. Come watch the Fifth Round matches live on big screens with U.S. Soccer & FA Cup legend Tim Howard, snap a pic with the iconic trophy, try out the Wembley VR experience, grab some commemorative giveaways, enjoy drinks, food, music, and more.

One lucky attendee will have a chance to win a flyaway trip (for them and a guest) to The Emirates FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in May.

They’ll also be delivering a local football clinic, in partnership with Black Star – a grassroots programme facilitating the growth of football in Black American communities. Hosted by former USMNT player DaMarcus Beasley, the clinic provides an opportunity to demonstrate the FA’s commitment to inclusion and representation both at home and abroad.
