The Women’s Maker Show 2022

City Point, Brooklyn’s largest shopping and dining destination, and (TMS), the pop-up market platform which celebrates diversity and features local makers, announce the 2nd annual Women’s Makers Show. Taking place over the last two weekends in March, the market will showcase an expanded roster of over 50 female-owned businesses. Additionally, it will debut the Makers’ Workshop Series, a series of craft classes led by women entrepreneurs.
Workshops featuring The Makers Show makers will include: an Intro To Crochet with J’nae Simmons of Jes Thread Home, Upcycle Your Tee with Vanessa Negron of Rompzz, Cross Stitch 101 with Rachele Rouqie of Black Lamb Handmade, and T-shirt design with Michelle Cadore of Da Spot. Plus, illustrator Sarula Bao will offer a zine-making workshop that will bring to life her vibrant comics and art books.
The diverse women’s lineup will feature small businesses including Cukimber, a bold and colorful accessory brand complemented by Asian-inspired home patterns and paintings; Moonchild, hand-made and hand-knitted patik and Turkish cultural goods, which support the traditional crafts of Anatolian women artisans; Mexico in My Pocket, with embroidered Otomi pillows and home heritage products; and Underdog Candles, a soy candle collection born from a personal journey to support LGBTQ+ causes and celebrate the underdogs.
