National Geographic Photographer and Sony Artisan Ira Block shares his passion for the Cuban people and their love of baseball through his book and prints, Cuba Loves Baseball: A Photographic Journey.
Ira has made repeated trips to Cuba since 1997 for the National Geographic Magazine, and in 2013 he realized that Cuba was changing and knew that baseball, the life blood of the people of Cuba, would also change. But before it did, he wanted to preserve the purity of the sport and its important place in the lives of the Cuban people. He spent 2½ years photographing the sport Cubans call a religion. Cuba Loves Baseball: A Photographic Journey is the culmination of Ira’s project.
Wine & beer and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
