NYLO New York City’s hotel lobby will be in full bloom as the space is transformed into its Arthouse Flower Market for the second year.
Every Saturday and Sunday through June 30th, 2018, a kaleidoscope of blooms supplied by Edelweiss Floral Atelier will take over the first floor of the hotel. Open from 10am-5pm each weekend, the Arthouse Flower Market will feature a myriad of arrangements including bouquets and flower crowns available for purchase, live music, and a botanical cocktail menu.
A part of the Arthouse @ NYLO art and culture programming implemented at NYLO New York City, the Arthouse Flower Market will render the lobby unrecognizable with an abundance of both classic choices of spring flowers (Sunflowers, Orchids and Tulips) and more unique varieties (Astilbe, Astrantia and Snapdragons). Guests will be able to peruse a wide range of colors of each variety and design their own perfect arrangement.
The floral-centered cocktail menu created in partnership with award-winning bartender Cody Goldstein of Muddling Memories will be available during LOCL Bar’s opening hours (3pm-12am Monday-Thursday, 1pm-1am Friday-Saturday, and 1pm-12am Sunday). The custom creations served in Instagram-worthy vessels include the ‘Mrs. Green Thumb’ served in a terracotta pot vessel. Poured from a tableside watering can, the ‘Mrs. Green Thumb’ features Codigo 1530 Rosa Tequila, a unique tequila expression aged in Cabernet barrels with a pink hue and floral finish.
Mocktails include the ‘Spritz Forward, Fall Backward’ made of jasmine liqueur and edible lavender flowers. As an ode to the season of rosé, the ‘Spring Around The Rosé’ cocktail pairs Spring 44 Gin with rosé wine and lavender syrup, garnished with fresh rose petals and rose buds.
Unique to this year’s programming, every Saturday the Arthouse Flower Market will host complimentary wine, beer and spirit tastings ranging from brand new vintages of rosé to seasonal lineups from local breweries. Additionally, on Saturdays, guests and visitors can enjoy the live musical stylings of Adam Kromelow, a local jazz, Americana and beats artist who will play with a rotating group of musicians. An ideal destination for weekend afternoons spent sipping and smelling the roses, Arthouse @ NYLO will be the Upper West Side’s home-away-from-home for spring revelers.
