New York City is known for its history of and ability to combine disparate peoples and cultures into something new, much like the colors of the spectrum combine to form a homogenous white light.
For this exhibition, “Unweaving the Spectrum,” we reverse this process. The works of an eclectic group of international artists associated with the organization, Mothership NYC, are allowed to organically diverge, to plot their distinct paths away from a common point of encounter.
