Learn about Jean-Michel Basquiat and street art in the east village circa 1980, then make your own Basquiat-inspired art works.
Imagine a studio filled with art, jazz, enamels, oil sticks and an assortment of unique, “found objects”. All that’s left is to make a masterpiece! Limited drinks are included, but BYOB is encouraged. This event is led by Corey D’Augustine, a conservator of modern & contemporary art for the Guggenheim and art history teacher at NYU, Pratt and MoMA. Tickets include art materials and a great party.
