Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace 2023

A revival of the legendary roller rink and cultural hotspot, Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, is set to return to The Rink at Rockefeller Center for the second year in a row after an astounding opening year. Liberty Ross, co-founder, creative director, and daughter of the original Flipper, Ian “Flipper” Ross, alongside co-founder Kevin Wall are thrilled to bring back the action at Flipper’s where skating is a lifestyle calling all people, regardless of generation and background, to come together on the rink and celebrate life.

Beyond its legendary origins, Flipper’s celebrates a passion for skate, fashion, and life where 70sHollywood glamour meets at the heart of NYC. This year, Flipper’s will tap collaborators across the fashion and cultural realms to celebrate their passion for skating with activations and limited-edition collections available at the Channel Garden of Rockefeller Center Flipper’s retail store, open year-round from 10am – 7pm.

Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace at The Rink at Rockefeller Center will be open to the public beginning Friday, April 14th.

Opening Weekend

Flipper’s x Brain Dead
Day 1- Friday, April 14th
A special opening weekend experience curated by Brain Dead, a Los Angeles-based collective of creative artists and designers from around the world. Come bounce to rhythms of dancehall, reggaeton, batida crew, Favela Worldwide, DJ Dream – one of the hottest prospects in the national rollerskating DJ scene, respected Queens of the groove, KeiyaA + Niara Sterling, to forward-thinking rave sounds by the one and only 8uletina.

Day 2- Saturday, April 15th
A special opening weekend experience curated by Brain Dead, a Los Angeles-based collective of creative artists and designers from around the world. From the eclectic underground dance sounds of LA’s Mia Carucci, Soul Skate & Flipper’s favorite DJ of the international skate scene DJ D, to NTS DJs Kaili, HD, and Rahill, who recently dropped epic new music featuring Beck.

Opening Weekend Saturday- Saturday, April 15th
Enjoy the funky Saturday daytime vibes with legendary Bronx skate DJ, Supa Rockin E-KIM.

Empire Roller Disco Takeover- Sunday, April 15th
Enjoy a Sunday Funday of roller skating, featuring some of Flipper’s favorite DJs from the skate community and our residency roster! Kicking off the day will be Flippers & The Brooklyn Nets kid resident DJ, Annie Red, followed by a special showcase of DJ Big Bob.
