The Holiday Train Show returns bigger than ever with more trains and an all-new, outdoor train display. Watch model trains zip past nearly 200 famous New York landmarks in the warmth of the Conservatory…or head outside to capture your perfect holiday photos at their all-new outdoor mountainscape.

After dark, stay for NYBG GLOW and discover the beauty of their landscape and historic buildings, illuminated across the grounds. And don’t miss the return of the fan-favorite Bar Car Nights, 21-and-over evenings featuring the Holiday Train Show and curated cocktails. These special evenings feature music, experiences, food, and more—making for the ultimate night out this season.

Bar Car Nights

Fan-favorite Bar Car Nights make a comeback on three select dates at The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) this season. At these special evenings exclusively for adults 21 and over, visitors can marvel at NYBG’s festively illuminated landscape and historic buildings at the outdoor light experience, as well as enjoy nighttime viewing of the Holiday Train Show. The beloved holiday tradition, which features model trains zipping through a miniature wonderland of nearly 200 New York landmark replicas, each delightfully re-created from natural materials such as leaves, seeds, twigs, bark, and acorns, is bigger than ever this year, with more trains and the addition of an all-new enchanted woodland outdoor display, complementing the indoor show in the iconic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.
