Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of kicking off the summer rooftop season at David Burke Kitchen‘s Treehouse for a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
True to Cinco de Drinko form, the party included unlimited drinks for guests and food to match. The party was sponsored by Campari, Aperol and Espolon Tequila, with cocktails including frozen Aperol Spritz slushies, Rhubarb frozen margaritas and the “El Diablito”, a special cocktail made for the occasion.
Food varied from Crispy Mini Pork Tamales with salsa rosa, Grilled Baby Corn with Aleppo pepper and lime, Guava-Glazed Lamb Ribs, and Shrimp Egg Rolls with Guacamole dip.
The event was small enough to feel intimate, but had enough going for it to sustain a party for a good amount of time, and between the food, drinks and DJ, everything was great. Besides that, the view pulled everything together as it wasn’t quite a rooftop, but definitely beat being indoors.
