During the last two days of the New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF), we descended upon Pier 94 in Manhattan to the culinary playground for their  annual marquee event, the ‘Grand Tasting‘. Since its inception, the festival’s mission to EAT, DRINK, AND END HUNGER has raised more than $11 million to benefit both No Kid Hungry and Food Bank for New York City.

We were lucky enough to experience some of the best local NYC restaurants and most sought-after wines and spirits under one giant roof for an afternoon of foodie bliss. It was literally Culinary Coachella if you will! Some of our absolute faves and standouts of the day were the Braised Short Ribs from Perrine, the BBQ Spaghetti from Queens Bully and the Bacon Mac N Cheese from Mac Bar. All three of those dishes, I felt like I couldn’t resist going back for seconds!

In addition to sampling all the food and drinks you could imagine, there was also live culinary demos from some of our absolute favorite food network personalities including Chef Giada De Laurentiis and Chef Aaron Sanchez.

There were also plenty of interactive installations from brands including Modelo, Makers Mark and Coca Cola. I’ve have yet to experience a food event like this and I am already drooling at the thought of next years!
