Last month, Jetblack hosted a pop up in SoHo as a way to educate onlookers about their concierge service. Jetblack is a personal shopping service that is meant to make your life easier. All you have to do is text your requested item, and it’s shipped to you with free delivery. It is a very exclusive service and there is currently a waitlist for the service, you can join on their website.

The Jetblack Pop up was open to the public, and anyone was able to make a free personal shopping appointment during its duration; it wasn’t just for pre-existing Jetblack customers. The space was stocked with a plethora of items to get through the summer. From beach clothes to sunscreen and pool floats, Jetblack had you covered. They also had member trending section, where items that are highly rated and ordered often were showcased. Additionally, there was a large section for children that carried clothes, toys, accessories, books, and more.

Jetblack was co-founded by Jenny Fleiss, who understood the struggle of being a busy mom in NYC. Jetblack fulfills their needs, by delivering items ordered the same day without any hassle. She is also the Co-Founder of the online designer dress and accessory rental service, Rent the Runway.

Perks include:
♦Personal shopping over text message
♦Fast and free delivery
♦Courier delivery in lightweight, recyclable bags
♦Complimentary gift wrapping with gift tag
♦Curated recommendations
♦Competitive pricing on all items
♦Hassle-free returns — they’ll pick it up!
♦NO minimum spend (including rush)

After popping into between the different sections, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the pop up! The staff clearly explained the service, and I got the chance to try it out. We received a $50 dollar voucher, but it was a bit difficult to find items below that amount. Most of the items showcased at the pop up, other than the snacks, were on the pricier side. I ended up ordering a popsicle mold and margarita mix, so that I could make margarita popsicles at home. I thought it would be perfect for the summer!

When I arrived to the pop up, Jetblack texted me, and all I had to do was text them back the number of the item I wanted (all the products had numbered tags on them). Beforehand, I signed up with my phone number and my credit card information. This way when I texted them the item number, they already knew it was me, without having to enter my info on the spot. I left super excited, and ready to use my new popsicle maker!

I received another text on my phone, notifying me my items had shipped. My margarita mix and popsicle maker shipped at different times, instead of in one shipment. I received the popsicle maker first. It showed up on my doorstep in a super cute Jetblack box. I was never worried about when I would receive my items, because I was updated constantly through text. After I successfully received both items, I got to making my popsicles. It was super fun, easy, and great for outdoor get togethers. Definitely a summer must have!

The only thing I would say, is that I am not a busy mom with the disposable income. After spending a lot of time in Jetblack’s pop up, it was clear that many moms rely on this service. I personally wouldn’t subscribe to this service, but it doesn’t mean you can’t either. I really did have a fun time testing it out. Join their waitlist, so you can see what all the hype is about! Like Jetblack’s motto goes “Need it. Text it. Get it”.

Say NYC Plugged referred you!
