Last week Arlo Nomad officially opened up its new rooftop, a themed bar called The Heights.

Appropriately named, The Heights, from the Three Kings Restaurant Group, not only highlights the nature of a rooftop in general, but a theme of neighborhoods throughout the city like Hamilton Heights, Jackson Heights, Brooklyn Heights and others.

Even though recently the weather doesn’t know what it wants to do with itself, the rooftop is quick to warm you up with its drinks also named after heights-hoods. Brooklyn Heights seemed to be the crowd favorite and included a blend of tequila, lime, lemon and fresh pressed watermelon juice- a perfect summer sip. Another great choice was their Hamilton Heights a seasonal slush representing summertime in the form of frozen lemonade. And if that’s not enough, they do have some blankets that look great as a cape.
Food at the rooftop is prepared by Chef Dale Talde and team at his restaurant Massoni, a joint venture with David Massoni and John Bush. Talde boasts Top Chef fame and other innovative restaurants throughout the city. His small bites included square pizzas, ceviche and other app-sized eats which circulated the rooftop area as guests happily stuffed their faces. The proud chef told us he doesn’t serve anything he doesn’t personally love, so you can be sure everything is delicious.

In addition to the incredible cityscape views, The Heights has a pretty cool floor view towards the back , where guests can look through a clear window to the ground below. Don’t forget to wave “Hi” and snap a pic!
Good Story, Arlo’s downtown SoHo location is also opening their doors for the summer season. Both locations are planning some killer events for the upcoming months of freedom and longer hours of sunshine, including fitness classes, poker games, paint and plant nights and live music.
The Arlo chain promises a kick-ass summer lineup, beautiful views and thirst-quenching drinks, so make sure to mark your calendars and plan your visits. You’ll definitely leave with a few Good Stories.
