Spring in the City: The Most Instagrammable Restaurants and Bars in NYC

New York City has begun to bloom in more ways than one. As the city reopens, some of our favorite restaurants and bars have also begun to follow suit. Check out our round-up of Instagrammable restaurants and bars in NYC flourishing beautiful floral displays, from sunflowers, and roses to tropical blossoms.

1. Nerai NYC

Greece is known for its beautiful seaside vibes, and Nerai definitely delivers on that. With delicious starters like tuna tartare or grilled octopus and entrees of lobster pasta and lamb chops with marinated eggplant, their outdoor seating area will make your friends jealous they missed to chance to bask in this Greek garden.

2. Sola Pasta Bar

Solas Pasta Bar a popular SoHo restaurant that serves up the best food presentations we’ve seen, which includes their 24k Gold Spaghetti made with squid ink pasta and sea urchin to their creamy Cacio e Pepe. Throw in the adorable floral cottages, and our rez is already booked.

3. Pinto Brooklyn

Pinto Brooklyn features indoor and outdoor seating areas fully decorated with beautiful florals, which you can take in while enjoying some modern Thai cuisine. If the combination of the two is your thing, you’ll fall pretty hard for this one.  Their Thai dumpling filled with chicken and shrimp, pumpkin curry, and wok-tossed crispy chicken also caught our eye. They have a location in West Village as well!

4. Maman King

Even though Maman is technically a cafe and bakery, they had to be on this list. One of their newest locations, Maman King is serving some serious spring vibes along with some of the most creative baked goods you’ll try. Their heavenly chocolate chip cookies were also named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2017.

5. Charlie Bird

Featuring an Italian-American menu, Charlie Bird offers some incredible eats, in addition to an extensive wine selection. Items like their Tuscan fried chicken, and gnocchi rosa made with cherry tomatoes, ricotta, and basil. Take a peek behind the curtain of their outdoor dining area to find an equally fantastic floral escape.

6. Ampia Rooftop

Taking IG by storm Ampia Rooftop‘s new mural and floral decor, inspired by Cinque Terre goes perfectly with their savory Italian dishes and fun cocktails. Their handmade lobster ravioli and pan-fried chicken breast are a yes in our book. Overall, your experience here will definitely be a memorable one.

7. Pasta Louise

Pasta Lousie offers fresh housemade pasta dishes, where each day they feature a special pasta shape- you choose the sauce, and tons of delicious add-ons like pasta kits and sauces to go. Have you seen their housemade whipped ricotta? If that isn’t enough, just check out their inviting outdoor dining setup!

8. Eataly Flatiron

It wouldn’t be a round-up without a nod to Eataly. Their themed rooftops wow every season with their seasonal food and cocktail menus and decor; this seasons’ theme is no different. The current greenhouse at SERRA Rooftop is gorgeous and will evolve over time.  Their menu will also change from spring to fall, featuring new specialties (think seasonal pasta dishes) each month.

9. Lola Taverna

SoHo’s Lola Taverna touts greek island cuisine which is the perfect pairing to their decor, which features overlapping branches and bright summery florals. We were eying their lobster salad, chick gyro bao buns, and grilled lamb chops served with smashed potatoes. Go at the right time of day, and you might just enjoy your meal under the rays of their ‘golden hour’.

10. Magic Hour

Magic Hour‘s Pink Rose Garden was just revealed, and from their rosy carousel to equally decked-out staircase photo opp, it’s truly a floral paradise. Go during their lively brunch and you won’t be disappointed. We recommend their Pink AF Pancakes and fried chicken sandwich, Don’t miss out on their themed cocktails and desserts as well. Yum!

11. Loulou

Loulou is a french bistro in Chelsea known for slinging some very Instagrammable cocktails, and what is that without a matching photo-worthy backdrop? We definitely recommend the chicken paillard and burrata. Pair that with their Mexican Stiletto served in a bird vessel or their La Vie en Frose and you’re on your way to those fabulous snaps made for Insta!

12. PHD Terrace

The PHD Terrace flower tunnel and fantastic rooftop views are always a good time. This lush sunflower dreamland is particularly breathtaking, and adds a nice pop of color! Add that to some stellar cocktails, do get the Sunflower Girl, and small bites, the Pizza Bianca is impeccable, and you’ve got a triple-threat.

13. Court Street Tavern

Court Street Tavern‘s live music Thursdays goes just right with their bright and beautiful hanging florals. If you go during brunch, definitely go with their mimosa brunch kit which is served with three different mixers—need we say more?! On the topic of brunch, their smoked salmon scramble and croissant sandwich sound divine.

14. Blume

Formerly a wintertime hideaway called Hütte, this newly seasonal Austrian concept, Blume is tucked away in the private garden of Schaller’s Stube, from the hustle and bustle of city streets. Serving us some serious summer cabin vibes, they offer a brand menu spring menu as well! Their extensive charcuterie and cheese boards sound like they pair well with their hanger steak and parsley and basil fettuccine.

15. Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde‘s floral decor has been a hit! From their decked-out facade to gigantic blooms which hang from the ceiling, and back bar, the entire layout is one big photo opp. Don’t forget to pair that pose with any of their fantastic floral cocktails, which go great with their cornish hen or steak au poivre.

16. Catch NYC

Catch, located in the Meatpacking District has recently sprouted tropical florals for the season. If you didn’t ‘catch’ their play on words, their menu features an array of items from the sea like sushi rolls, to Crudo and grilled fish. Their lobster mac and cheese and large format items like their Alaskan king crab sound right up our alley.

17. Temple Court

Perched beautifully atop the Beekman Hotel, Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court is a paradise of winding wisterias. Want the full experience? Don’t miss out on their three-course dinner service, which runs $95/person, and available every Wednesday – Saturday. The menu includes a choice of King Kampachi Crudo, Pekin duck breast, and a caramel mousse cake.

17. Liberty Bistro

Located in Brookfield Place, Liberty Bistro not only feature drooping wisterias above their patio seating, but they also have beautiful views of the Hudson River, from noon to sunset. Their menu is very seafood forward with a few French classics thrown in. Their cocktails are also top-notch, and we’ve noticed they added a few new summer versions. If you’re with a group and really want to get fancy with it, their ‘Eiffel Tower’ of 12 oysters, 8 jumbo shrimp, and 2 lobsters is Instgramable all by itself.

As you can see, if you’re looking to get out while fulfilling those springtime daydreams, New York City has got you, just make sure that phone of yours is fully charged.
