Last week we stopped by Kings Co Imperial newest addition in the Lower East Side,( just across the bridge from their original Williamsburg location) to get a taste of their Dim Sum Happy Hour Menu.
Most places these days offer some sort of after work drink special or promotion to get the afterwork crowd through their doors, many of which times includes your average run of the mill bar menu items. Here at Kings Co Imperial’s, it’s the spectacular authentic Chinese food that drew us to their Happy Hour. Their LES location offers a intimate setting perfect for two or you can take a seat at one of their comfy booths along the walls for larger groups sharing the Asian tapas.
For a party of two they offered a choice of one dim sum, one vegetable and one noodle dish. We had to show a little self control, and truly had a hard time narrowing down our selections, but eventually decided to go with their Soup Dumplings, the dry fried long beans, and the Cooper Well Street Noodles with chili oil, which also came with Chinese greens, and shrimp. Everything was pretty much perfect! The broth in the soup dumplings was hot and flavorful. The string beans had a great salty char to them, and the noodles were super satisfying. It paired perfectly with beer… Pleasing all of our cravings.
With a restaurant that has a garden, where they can grow their own vegetables, it’s no surprise that they serve up such excellent food. In addition to delicious dim sum, they offer great drink specials and a full menu that will definitely have you coming back time and time again. The Dim Sum Special is offered from 5:30-7pm & 10-11pm for a super late snack, so next time you are trying to find a place to meet up with friends, which offers bomb food and drink specials at reasonable prices…We highly recommend Kings Co Imperial LES.
