We have put together a list of the best of NYC holiday markets to visit and shop for fun and unique gifts this winter. All the while experiencing the above and supporting local makers, creators, and artisans.

Union Square Holiday Market

The Union Square Holiday Market will be back this year! Located at the heart of New York City, in Union Square Park, it’s hailed as a must-visit destination, with over 160 vendors for unique gifts created by local craftsmen, artists, and entrepreneurs.

Nick Heller (@NewYorkNico) will also be rotating curated booths of budding entrepreneurs. Gizmo Vintage, Challah Dolly, Prince Peacock, Em and Ahr, and Dan’s Parents House will each showcase their products for one week throughout the run of the market.

Location: Union Square (14th Street and 5th Avenue)

Holiday Shops at Bryant Park

The Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park is one of NYC’s most beloved holiday season destinations, with more than 170 artisanal vendors selling their innovative wares.

The centerpiece is a 17,000 square foot rink which features free admission ice skating, high-quality rental skates, free skating shows, and events. Additionally, The Lodge is a rinkside open-air, après skate-escape where visitors can cozy up with a festive cocktail, enjoy delicious food, and watch ice skaters go by. Not much of a skater? You can book a cozy igloo or check out the Curling Café & Bar. They will be having their tree lighting this year as well, stay tuned!

Weeksville x Black-Owned Brooklyn Holiday Market 

Find the perfect gift at Weeksville’s outdoor Holiday Market with Black-Owned Brooklyn!  From pots and plants to apparel and candles, there’s something for everyone on your list! Join each day for food, music, and live performances while you shop.

The day will include vendors selling diverse gifts from Black-owned brands: cool graphic tees and hoodies, houseplants, candles, framed artwork, body butters, statement-making totes, rare books, vintage records, artisanal chocolates, hot sauces, hand-crafted jewelry, dope home decor, and MORE! Hot food and beverage for sale to keep you fueled up and warm! Live performances, music, and tours of our historic Weeksville’s Hunterfly Road houses!

Columbus Circle Holiday Market

The Columbus Circle Holiday Market is known as one of the most elegant and beautiful places for holiday shopping. Located at the entrance to Central Park, at 59th street and Central Park West, you can lose yourself in glittering aisles of art, jewelry, home goods, and delicious eats from local artisans and designers.

Pop of Culture: Black Friday (The Prelude) NYC Popup Shop

This two-day event will feature 40+ local NYC Black-owned fashion, accessories, beauty, home, art, food, and lifestyle brands from which you can buy some cool gifts for yourself and loved ones this holiday season.

Featuring music by DJ GFLAMEE, fun and beautiful Christmas/Winter décor, giveaways, food & drinks (full bar and will have a special menu curated from MIKA), fun card games, and activities for you to enjoy, and more!

The Holiday Makers Show at City Point

The Holiday Makers Show at City Point returns to Downtown Brooklyn decorated with festive holiday decor, over 40 vendors featuring Black-owned and women-owned businesses, and a 360 GlamCam by ShopShops for photo-ops with their hip & stylish Santa Claus. Shop local makers, enjoy food at Dekalb Market Hall, decorate Gingerbread houses, and find unique gifts for family and friends!

The Oculus Holiday Market

Enjoy local gifts, festive carolers, and a beautiful light show throughout the season at The Oculus Holiday Market. You can look forward to roaming carolers, a snow garden for Instagram-worthy photos, evening light shows, and many other carts and kiosks for customers to enjoy.

A new feature of The Holiday Market at the Oculus this year is the partnership with Chashama, a New York City-based art non-profit. Exciting and innovative artisans include homemade baked goods,  a curated fashion pop-up, a home-based artisanal candlemaker, a cruelty-free high-fashion faux-fur lifestyle fashion brand,  a variety of healing and decorative crystals, and plant-based knitwear leg and arm warmers.
