If you didn’t know July is National Ice Cream Month AND National Beer Month. Lucky for you, there is  a way to experience and enjoy both at the same time!

Our Name Is Farm has curated a specialty beer ice cream and sorbet flight in conjunction with Tipsy Scoop to be served at Brooklyn’s experimental beer hall, Lantern Hall. We were invited to taste and get a sneak peek of the exclusive flavors.

The innovative space boasts old school TV’s and Nintendo games on display. They also have board games to satisfy any gamer and occasional live music nights (no cover included), making it a perfectly chill spot even without the ice cream. But why would you forego that?

The collaboration will focus on local beers featured at Lantern Hall, which include:
Gun Hill Brewing Company – Soft Serve Mosaic – American IPA (NY)
Jacks Abby Craft Lagers – House Lager – Golden Lager (MA)
Stillwater Artisanal Ales – On Fleek – American Double/Imperial Stout (MD)
King County Brewers Collective – Janiak Maniac – Czech Pilsener (NY)

Available flavors include:
Mosaic Creamsicle – Ice cream blended with pineapple, orange and mango puree. Infused with Gun Hill Brewing’s Mosaic.
Happy Hour – Ice cream infused with Jack’s Abby House Lager and blended with Tipsy Scoop’s house pub mix: crushed peanuts, salty pretzels and toffee bits.
Salty Pretzels On Fleek – Chocolate ice cream infused with Stillwater On Fleed Imperial Stout, blended with salty pretzel bits.
She’s a Maniac! (Sorbet) – Honey-lemon sorbet infused with KCBC Janiak Maniac pilsner.

The overwhelming favorite was Salty Pretzels on Fleek. It was a perfect salty-sweet mix with a slightly tart twang from the beer, sweet and deep chocolate notes and salt- plus crunch- from the pretzels.

The She’s a Maniac sorbet was a tangy, yet refreshing, summer flavor. It packs a punch on the tastebuds and is a perfect combatant to the summer heat.

As for the other two flavors, they were a bit bland compared to the former, but still definitely worth a taste, especially if you are a fan of a classic creamsicle or some PB tastes.

Our Name Is Farm officially brought the frozen treats to Lantern Hall on July 19th for $8 a flight and $6 during happy hour (3-8pm). But hurry because it is a limited time offer!
