In celebration of World Pride Month, and the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, Treble.FM – the community-based platform and live event franchise – partnered up with Young Hero last Tuesday week to bring NYC an ALL OUT Treble Tuesdays at House of Yes. The night featured an evening of community discussion and performances, by some of the biggest LGBTQ+ influencers, creatives, and artists.

Sponsored by Jagermeister and Runa, Tuesday evening kicked off with a panel discussion moderated by Fashion influencer Ziggy Mack Johnson and V-Files manager and DJ, Dez. The panel was a powerful look into the struggles and successes of its panelists, including model, actress and dancer Leyna Bloom, whose viral 2018 tweet campaigned for her to be the first openly trans-woman to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and who this year was the first trans-woman of color to premiere a film at the Cannes Film Festival. Also in attendance to share his experiences on his rise in the fashion world, was model & YouTuber James Butler, who was recently named the first Gay-Black man to ever land a campaign with Hollister/Abercrombie & Fitch.

Other panelists included Sony/RCA Records Manager of Urban Digital Marketing, Toniesha Reneevisual artist and DJ, Marley Marl;  poet and model, Elle Banes; and visual artist Rahmbow. An emotional and enlightening discussion on navigating the entertainment industry as an LGBTQ+ creative; pop-culture influencers that changed the way each creative saw themselves in the industry; and how we as individuals can continue to support and impact the community in a positive way. The evening wrapped up with performances from Treble alumni artists such as Baby Yors, who graced the stage at House of Yes in 2018 for Treble’s 1-Year Anniversary; Freakquencee featuring ByMaddz; and Maliibu Mitch.
Founded by former Vice Creative Strategist, Matt Bond, Treble.FM has been the leading platform for the NYC underground music scene since 2017. Along with the launch of the new beta web platform this month, Treble produces a weekly event series known as “Treble Tuesdays,” where independent creatives can perform, network, and enjoy a community of like-minded individuals. With its first national launch in Chicago on May 28th, and with plans to expand the franchise to Berlin, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and more, Treble aims at helping the independent artist navigate the craziness of the industry.
