Have you heard of the murderous pair, that went to jail and murdered the murderers there?

Known today as Run the Jewels, the legendary duo, comprised of Killer Mike and El-P gave us a show to remember during a private Vevo performance at Penn Plaza Pavilion on the last Tuesday in April, definitely gaining new fans in the process.

Before the performance, first things first was the photo booth by BOSCO which took us back to the More Money, More Problems days with the black walls lined with bright, blinking florescent lights.

The night kicked off with RTJ’s DJ,  TrackStar the DJ spinning some dance worthy tunes.

As we waited for RTJ to start their set, the crowd mingled among not one but two bars and enjoyed some delicious eats from lobster salad bites and mini BLTs to miniature margaritas and tacos.

As the front of the stage started to get a little more dense with people, you knew it was almost time for the magic. RTJ came to the stage and did what they do best, put on a damn good show. The first song in their set was ‘Talk To Me’, and it just got more glorious with each song. There were moments of jumping with the crowd, fist bumping Killer Mike, El-P serenading us with a poem, and some call and response from the audience.

After playing their very awesome set, RTJ retreated backstage . As the crowd chanted “RTJ, RTJ”, the partners in crime graced the stage again to give us one more song, and it was the most perfect ending.

At the end of the night Vevo made sure we made it home with dessert by displaying a donut and pretzel wall, which came out of nowhere btw. Again magical!
