It’s the Black Girl Magic! Two weekends ago we had the pleasure of attending the inaugural Essence Beauty Carnival at Pier 36 in beautiful downtown NYC. The event which usually takes place at the Annual Essence Fest in New Orleans, premiered this year as a stand-alone event and it was definitely a hit!
Catapulting the next up in beauty and entertainment, attendees were treated to intimate discussions by superstar Ciara, fashion heavyweight Dapper Dan and celeb stylist Misa Hylton. We were also treated to a live performance Sevyn Streeter.
Essence also presented attendees the opportunity to shop and experience their favorite brands including: Aveeno, Bolden Skincare, Everhue Beauty, and the new Essence x Ulta makeup collab which we’re absolutely obsessed with!
We were pretty impressed overall with the event and the black girl magic was so heavy, the energy was undeniable. Kudos to Essence for a spectacular event, definitely looking forward to this event again next year.
