SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMERTIME! The season might be winding down, but in New York City, it’s still a WHOLE 90 degrees out! Figuring out a skincare routine that’s appropriate can sometimes be a bit challenging…we know. With the added humidity, summertime can feel like a bit of a double edged sword. We spend all of winter longing for warmer weather, but then when it finally rolls around, woo chile! With that said, New York City Summers will forever have a place in my heart, and as such, a reason to explore some of my favorite beauty products, which will help my skin these next few weeks, leading into Fall. #1 “Buffet” by The Ordinary
Restore a youthful, radiant complexion with this potent anti-aging serum. Buffet is a water based serum: a “cocktail” of amino acids, peptides, lipids, hyaluronic acid and probiotics to visibly plump and hydrate the skin, while improving multiple signs of aging at the same time. It will reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots, while simultaneously improving tone and texture. Bamboo extract and Argan Oil strengthens the hair follicles, prevents breakage, and helps to retain moisture for sleek, easy styling. A hint a grapefruit leaves a nice subtle fragrance. It’s great for all hair types!
#3 Natural Moisturizing Factors +HA by The Ordinary
This is probably my all time favorite moisturizer! I love love layering this on top of my serums before my SPF. This super lightweight moisturizer derived from amino acids, dermal lipids, and hyaluronic acid, helps to keep your skin hydrated and protected. This formula offers a non-greasy finish, that acts as a direct topical supplement for impaired skin NMF components. It’s free of oil, alcohol, silicones, and nuts. It’s also vegan, fragrance free and cruelty free! What’s not to love?
#4 Truly Brighter Eye Balm by House 99
Look your best even after those late night/early mornings! While both eye creams and serums work to moisturize and care for the delicate under eye area, the latter delivers those results at a much more rapid pace. Thanks to their formulation, House 99 by David Beckham’s Truly Brighter Eye Balm is fast absorbing, with Spirulina and Quinoa extracts smoothening the skin, and Caffeine and Mica extracts reducing the appearance of dark circles.
