Last Thursday, just in time for Air Max Day on March 26th, Nike threw a party and introduced us to their “Vote Forward” campaign, where for the first time artists in their respective fields have teamed up with Nike designers to re imagine the Nike Air as their one a kind creation.

We  got a chance to see various Air Max designs throughout the years and the newest Air Max, the Vapormax which will be released on March 26th. Also on display, to celebrate almost 30 years of Air Max, were designs by  Marc Newson, Riccardo Tisci and Arthur Huang, NikeLab visionaries in the fields of architecture, design, style and art who took different aspects of Air Max icons, from the Air Max 1 to the all-new Nike Air VaporMax, and made it their own.

For the “Vote Forward” campaign, the twelve Revolutionairs include Alexandra Hackett (London), Artemy Lebedev (Moscow), Bunyamin Aydin (Istanbul), Celement Balvoine (Amsterdam), Fabikr (Seoul), Kyle Ng (Los Angeles), Lourdes Villagómez (Mexico City), Naotaka Konno (Tokyo), Sean Wotherspoon (Los Angeles), Shangguan Zhe (Shanghai), Tianzhou Chen (Beijing), and Venus X (New York).  The Revolutionair’s shoe with the most votes will have his or her Nike Air model released.

The Nike VaporMax iD is $250.
