MLB Oficina del Flow Mayor

Building on El BΓ©isbol es Otra Cosa (“Baseball Is Something Else”), Major League Baseball recently launched its Flow Mayor campaign to honor the incredible influence Latine culture has on baseball via the players, fans, and communities all season long!

Designed in collaboration with Awake NY’s Angelo Baque and New Era, we got to preview the MLB Flow Mayor cap, which celebrates the vibrant Latin American communities woven into New York City’s culture. Released for Hispanic Heritage Month as part of the Flow Mayor campaign, it honors the Latine players and fans who drive the game forward.

The cap features an embroidered Yankees or Mets logo on the front and names of Latin American countries embroidered across the back panels, honoring NYC’s Latino communities. Awake NY branding and a Subway Series patch can be found on the sides, finished off with Flow Mayor branding on the back, near the rear MLB logo.

The celebration MLB brought together will bring together baseball, art, fashion, food, and music to the Lower East Side this past weekend. Things kicked off at Awake NY with founder and creative director Angelo Baque, celebrating the release of the new New Era Subway Series hats, where we got a closer look and on-site customization.

We then made our way through the Lower East Side with Los Pleneros de la 21 leading a parranda before landing at Cafe Colmado for food, a domino competition, a live DJ set, and a special live performance by Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Lunay, who rose to fame with Reggaeton hits like “Soltera’ and ‘Aventura’ and savory treats from Chef Fidel and Chef Manolo.

You can snag your very own Oficina del Flow Mayor New Era Subway Series Cap this holiday season, available in November/December 2026 at MLB Shop, Awake NY, New Era, online or in-store.
