Bold eye shadows, long-lasting primers, refreshing toners, and signature lipsticks; whatever your needs are Hard Candy has you covered! The original indie brand is re-launching with amazing new formulas that will have everyone running to get one at their nearest Walmart.

Does the makeup brand Hard Candy sound familiar? If you stayed on top of the current trends in the 90’s, then you have most likely heard, seen or even used Hard Candy’s iconic “Sky” blue nail polish. Dineh Mohajer launched the Hard Candy brand in 1995 and her bright and fun nail polishes became an overnight success. When Alicia Silverstone was a guest on David Lettermen she rocked the color, which led to the overnight craze. In 1999, Hard Candy was acquired by LVMH, who also owns luxury powerhouses Moet & Chandon, Fendi, Guerlain, and Bvlgari, just to name a few. This led to even greater recognition, and in 2009 Hard Candy announced a partnership with Wal-Mart, where it continues to shatter the definition of beauty and revolutionize the industry.

We recently attended Hard Candy’s Re-Launch for Spring 2020, in the penthouse of the Glasshouses in Chelsea. The views added to the presentation of their makeup and skincare products. We learned about Hard Candy’s newest collection, featuring notorious Blonde Bombshell, Marilyn Monroe. This incredible partnership has made their new launch even more remarkable. My favorites from the collection were the Syrup Kiss Signature Red Lip Stain and the Starlet Glow Strawberry Face Serum. Hard to miss, the space was also decked out with a floral display featuring and a giant portrait of Marilyn Monroe.

Ambassadors from the Hard Candy brand gave us the low down on the new formulas and technology behind the products hitting the shelves. The relaunch has brought us 80 new formulas, with game-changing technology. Their new Dare To Extend Ultimate Lash Extension Mascara uses Korean fiber tubular technology for 360-degree volume and length. What does this mean? The formula, when applied, covers the entirety of your lash, creating a structured form. As the wet mascara dries, it maintains the shape, from root to tip. We also learned about their new glitter eyeshadows. The application is super smooth, as a result of their creamy formula which prevents glitter fallout.

I absolutely loved the recreated shelves from Walmart’s beauty aisles, in addition to their shopping carts.  We got a sneak peek at Hard Candy’s skincare line in the Discovery Zone. They are rolling out a new line of primers with a long-lasting makeup grip. There are so many to choose from, it won’t be hard to find one that fits your skin type. My favorite primer was the Sheer Envy Hydrating Primer because it is perfect for concealing dry skin, and it plumps and moisturizes as the hours go by, leaving you with perfect skin even after you take your makeup off.
